Research and development (R&D) aimed at the creation, adaptation, and implementation of innovative irrigation technologies for agricultural crops and the technical equipment for their application.
Main areas of activity:
• Design of water-saving irrigation systems for all regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• Development and provision of scientific and methodological support for the implementation of various advanced irrigation systems (drip irrigation, subsurface irrigation, micro-sprinkler irrigation, pulse irrigation, etc.) for any agricultural crops;
• Development and implementation of irrigation technologies using alternative renewable energy sources (hydraulic ram, self-flow systems, solar and wind energy, etc.);
• Scientific justification and recommendations for the rational use of water resources in irrigated agriculture in Kazakhstan;
• Transfer and adaptation of the best foreign irrigation technologies to agricultural production in Kazakhstan;
• Providing consulting and practical support to agricultural producers on irrigation technologies and equipment;
• Conducting field tests of new irrigation equipment;
• Organizing training seminars, field days, and demonstrations of irrigation technologies and equipment;
• Professional development and internships for specialists and employees of the agro-industrial complex on irrigated agriculture, irrigation technologies, and equipment;
• Techno-economic evaluation of the efficiency of irrigation methods and equipment in different regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
