Reports for 2024-2025: Task 2: «Assessment of Water Resource Use in Irrigated Agriculture and Development of Water Supply and Irrigation Systems in Agricultural Production» is one of the components of the scientific and technical program: «Development of organizational and economic measures to improve the efficiency of using the resource potential of agricultural production» under Budgetary Scientific and Technical Program 267 «Improving Access to Knowledge and Scientific Research», subprogram 101 «Program-Targeted Funding for Scientific Research and Activities», specific area 154 «Payment for research services» for the conduct of applied scientific research in the field of the agro-industrial complex for 2024-2026».
Purpose of the event: conducting an analysis of water use in agricultural production.
Tasks for 2024:
– collection of data on the use of water resources in agricultural production;
– conducting an analysis of water use in agricultural production.
Tasks for 2025:
– presentation of analytical information on current water management systems in agricultural production, including a SWOT analysis;
– conducting assessments and identifying problems in current water management systems in agricultural production.
In accordance with the research schedule for the 2024–2025 program, work plans have been drawn up and research methodologies for 2024–2025 have been submitted.
Results for 2024-2025:
2024:
1) Data on the use of water resources in agricultural production has been collected.
2) An analysis of water resource use in agricultural production has been conducted.
2025:
1) Analytical information on current water management systems in agricultural production with a SWOT analysis is presented.
2) An assessment was conducted and problems with current water management systems in agricultural production were identified.
3) Recommendations have been developed for assessing the current issues facing existing water management systems in agricultural production. These methodological recommendations are intended to assess the condition and identify problems in existing water management systems used in the agricultural sector of the Republic of Kazakhstan. They include methods for analyzing, monitoring, and diagnosing the condition of irrigation networks and regional water resources, which are necessary for effective water resource management and increasing agricultural productivity.

All work has been completed in full, in accordance with the research project schedule. The annual reports for 2024–2025 have been prepared in accordance with GOST 7.32-2017 and registered with JSC «National Center of Science and Technology evaluation».
